Hello All,
New to the CUCM platform. I have CUCM 8 with MGCP controlled gateways and route patterns.
I need to POC a new SIP trunk to this environment. I have CUBE on one of my MGCP controlled gateways where the SIP to ITSP resides. I worked with Cisco and they instructed me how to add the SIP trunk and the dial peers and translations on the gateway....
The problem I am finding is how do I route calls from my already registered phones to the SIP trunk for testing ?
I do not want any calls other than the test calls I am doing to route out the sip ...Access code via a newly added SIP route pattern ?
Any replies appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

A specific route pattern using the SIP trunk as Gateway/Route List option. Less specific route patterns should catch everything else and route to existing mgcp gateway.

Agreed, just to clarify...It does not have to be a SIP route pattern ?
IE Call Routing>
Route/Hunt>
RoutePattern

That is correct.
