CUCM and IPV6

Hello All,

I have a new Collab deployment (UCM, CUC, CER, CUBE, vg450, etc.) and the customer wants to explore deploying as IPV6 only.  Has anyone done this and able to provide any words of wisdom/caution/config guides?   There will be some SIP trunk integration into devices that do not support IPV6 but it is my understanding that an MTP will need to be allocated by UCM for the media conversion.

Check out this post: https://community.cisco.com/t5/collaboration-knowledge-base/configuring-ipv6-for-cucm/ta-p/3125273

With the enterprise parameters, you can define, which IP version will be use per default for signaling and media.

Corresponding Cisco Doc for Dual-Stack here:

And no: If you have devices with IPv4 only, then IPv4 will be used. No MTP is invoked.

Thanks for the reply b.winter.   It sounds like I essentially need to set everything up using IPV4 and then activate IPV6.   I'm also a little confused about Dual stack.  I read a Cisco doc that said dual stack is only supported in DOD environments but two stacks is supported.  Not sure what the difference between dual stack and two stacks is:

Thanks,

Glenn
