CUCM Migration from MCS 7.1.5 to UCS 10.5

Dear All,

We are planning to migrate our old MCS CUCM 7.1.5 to new UCS 10.5,

For this i am expecting clarifications on below points, Can you please provide suitable answers,

1. Do we need to have existing smart net support for MCS server and Licenses?

2. Can we use PCD to Migrate directly from 7.1.5 to 10.5 or any other method?

Thanks in advance.

Seshu

Yes, you can use PCD for the migration, assuming you meet the ESXi licensing requirements for it.

Otherwise, it would be jump upgrade to 9.1(2), then further upgrade to 10.5

Thanks for your information

My main issues is,

do i required valid existing smart net contract for migration because we are going to take smart net contract for new UCS?

Because our old MCS contract is going to expires? so, do i need to renew this for up gradation or not?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Seshu

Hi Seshu,

If your existing contract[ESW and UCSS] is going to expire soon , u can place the order through PUT immediately for CUCM 10 so that u can get latest application CUCM Software along with PCD and licenses for call manager 10.

Secondy,as suggested by Jaime , you can migration using PCD.
