CUCM subscriber OVA

Hi

i have a cluster CUCM 10.5 created with OVA for 1000 nodes

i would like to add new subscriber on different physical server 

is it possible to create it with same OVA but for 7500 nodes ??? (because there is difference between CPU on physical server on pub and on sub)

??

Hi 

from an application point of view you might not face any issue as long as you fulfill the CPU\Memory requirement. BUt strongly not recommended, lets say you start running into performance issue, you would not be supported by TAC, till the time you rebuild all server in cluster with same OVA.

It is supported to mix and match different OVA templates, similarly how it used to be supported to mix and max different physical hardware back in the day, however it is not recommended as it can very easily lead to over-subscription under failover condition. For example lets say you register 2000 devices to the 7500 OVA sub, and the 1000 OVA is its backup call processor, when the primary sub fails you now over-subscribe your backup server.
