CUCM support for ShoreTel Phones

Have a customer that has a CUCM and an older ShoreTel system.  they want to migrate to an all on-prem CUCM environment.

Does anyone know if the ShoreTel IP Phones can be supported as 3rd party devices in Call Manager?

I know that they would not have all the features but it would help with the migration and not have to purchase all of the phones at once.

I believe ShoreTel phones are RFC3261 complaint so CUCM should support them as advanced or basic SIP third party devices depending on the number of lines the phone supports.
