CUCM: Translation Pattern / Route Pattern Problem ?

Patrick Werner

Hi Community.

I did something wrong. After i reinstalled the whole CUCM i forgot something to configure, but i dont know what.

The Problem: If someone external calling in the phone saves and display the phone numer as following as an example +41 44 123 4567.

If i now want to call back the phone dials +41 4 and immediately delete the leading + and rings 414. We have internal 3 digit phonenumbers, but not a phone with the number 414 therefore the phone says cant connect.

Why will the leading + be deleted. What did i wrong.

Best regards patrick

Hi Patrick.

You have probably configured a translation pattern or route pattern that strip the +.

It could be something similar to \+41.!

On route plan report search for all dn or patterns beginning with \

Hi Carlo.

Yes i have a translation pattern with \+.! it discard digits predot and prexif digit (outgoing call) with "00".

And its working if i call with Cisco Jabber it translates +41 44 123 4567 to 0041 44 123 4567, but not if i use the phone.

If i call +41 44 123 4567 with the phone it ends with 414.

Can you help me ?

Hi Patrick

Try to use Dialed Number Analyzer (through serviceability) putting your DN as calling party and use the css assigned to the DN.

As dialed digits insert +

Take a screenshoot and post here

Let me know

Hi Carlo.

I did it, and it looks good in my opinion. But the phone still deletes the "+".

- Do you use a prefix to dial out?
- What do your application dial rules look like?

Aaron

Hi Aaron.

No i dont use a prefix, and where do i look for the aplication dial rules.

Best regards patrick

Hi Patrick.

If you have a translation Pattern \+. sripping pre dot , the behaviour is correct.

Please expand the DNA result so we can check it in detail.

Thanks
