Dishani

Level 1

is it possible to map an incoming trunk with out going trunk based on partition and CSS in call manager ?

CM1 and CM2 connected to SME. SME has aslo trunks to both EW1 and EW2.

scenario :

CM1 dials an external number like xxxx@cisco.com call has to route through  CM1--> SME--> EW1
CM2 dials an external number like xxxx@cisco.com call has to route through CM2--> SME--> EW2

for both the cases Called number and domain will remain same.

may i know what are the best possible ways to achieve this ?

Yes you can do that by partition and CSS.  Lets for the sake of it name them P1 & P2 and CSS1 & CSS2.

  1. Create the pair of partitions and create the pair of CSS on SME.
  2. Create a pair of SIP Route Patterns that match cisco.com.
  3. Put one of them to P1 and send to EW1 and put the other to P2 and send to EW2.
  4. Put P1 into CSS1 and P2 to CSS2.
  5. Set CSS1 as incoming CSS on trunk from CM1 in SME and set CSS2 as incoming CSS on trunk from CM2.
  6. Reset the trunks for the change to take effect.

Yes, that's what the inbound CSS is there for.

It all comes down to CSS and partitions.
