CUCM Upgradation - DMA Error

Hi all,

Am trying to upgrade from CUCM 4.3(2)SR1B to 7.1.3. For this i downloaded DMA for 7.1.3 and installed on the Publisher server.

After rebooting, i tried to export the data after completing the Pre-Export tasks. But its not getting successful and i again tried after uninstalling and installing the DMA again.

The error shown is,

[01:20:07 AM] [Error] The exported data cannot be used for upgrade.

[01:20:07 AM] [Error] Correct the database and/or directory data and run DMA again.

[01:20:07 AM] [Error] Verification of DB in IDS failed. Retaining the TAR file as it is.

[01:20:07 AM] Building archive F:\DMABackup 04122010\DMAExportFailed12-04-10#1-15.tar.

If someone have faced the same issue, please help me out. The entire DMA logs are attached along the post.

Hi,

DMA fails due to the following error

12/04/2010 01:19:53.093 installdb|   validateDB *ERROR* SQL Exception [0xfffffc74] [Failed to connect to datasource: [Informix][Informix ODBC Driver][Informix]Unspecified System Error =  -908. sqlerrm(ccm)]|

Informix DB is probably crashing / not responding.

What I suggest is to uninstall DMA and install it again. Make sure you do it using VNC and NOT via windows terminal services. Also disable antivirus and CSA if you have them installed.

Also check your OS version and see if OS needs to be patched as well.

Thanks for the reply. Actually i contacted TAC and they are also suggesting the same.

But here am facing a challenge because the customers IPCCX 4.1.1 is running on the same publisher. So we want to confirm if the OS patch update will have some adverse effect on the IPCCX. TAC is not confirming on this, because as per the documentations IPCCX 4.1.1 is not supported on OS patch 2003.1(4a)_SR16, so currently we are in dilemma on how to move ahead. Without this OS update we cant take a good DMA backup and if we are doing this OS update, we dont know how it will affect the IPCCX.

Please advice, also please someone please respond, if you have done 4.x to 7.x migration using BAT to export the configurations.
