Dear Netpros,
The callmanager appears not to have the proper username / password configured. We tried to use the ccmadministrator, a application user and end user account, but none of them worked properly.
The documentation does not provide CCM5 specific hints. Does one of you have experience configuring a setup like that?
Cheers
Roland

The following link did help...
Note:
If you are using Cisco Unified CallManager 5.0 or later, verify that the AXL service is active. To do this, go to the Cisco Unified CallManager serviceability website, click on Tools > Service Activation. Look for Cisco AXL Web service.

The Cisco AXL Web Service must be activated.
The JTAPI user need to be associated with the "Standard CTI Enabled" group.
Configure a value for "Digest Credentials" for the user in question.
