Hello,
I am experiencing a problem with IM chat between CUPC 8 clients. We have CUPS 8.0.4 (upgraded from CUPS 7.0.8) and CUPC 7.x / 8.0.2 and 8.0.3.
When exchanging IM between a CUPC 7.x and 8.x client everything working ok – delivery of the message.
When exchanging IM messages between CUPC 8.x version the message delivered immediately to the other site (I can say faster than CUPC 7) but we are getting a delivery failure notification. You can see the attachment file.
Is this a bug on CUPS 8.0.4? Any suggestions?

You may want to check out this defect:
CSCtj54308 Cannot send your message to user at this time
In the workaround section option 3 may be an easy test to see if that fixes it.

You are right.
Option 3 work for 2 users. So I will run option 2 for all.
Now everything seems to work fine.
On the bug tool I search based on CUPC instead of CUPS.....

I hate to ask stupid questions, but.... What is deleted by using the workarounds? Are contact lists deleted and have to be setup again or it is just something internal to CUPC/CUPC that the user does not see and will not cause any issues?

Hi Doug,
There is nothing to worry about the workaround.
The users’ profile and contacts remain unchanged.
Use option 3 first to verify that it is ok and then proceed...
