Hi all,
We've got a CUPS 8.5.1 deployment with of course CUCM 8.5.1 with also of course an LDAP integration.
Our CUPC clients (latest version) have a strange(?) behavior.
They can add a non AD user to their list of contacts and are able to give them a call but whenever CUPC is closed down and restarted again, these 'nonAD' contacts are gone.
Is this standard behavior or should some parameter be modified in order to get this up and running?
thx in advance!

Hi Lieven,
For what I know all the contacts are stored in the CUPS DB so they are not local to the PC. If they disappear from CUPC then they must be disappearing from the CUP database as well.
How many servers do you have in the cluster?
Does this happen with all users or some of them ?
Do you have problems adding a specific contact or all the non AD contacts created suffer from this ?

Christos

Hello Christos,
The issue has been resolved now. Actually the issue was that if you add a non-AD contact, you also need to enter the IM address and not only name, first name and phone number.
We're dealing with a Presence client here rather than a 'phone'. So it could be considered as normal that the contacts are lost if no IM address is specified...
Best regards,
