I have a CUP Server integrated with a CUCM 6.1(2). Exchange backend is 2003 with SP2. Everything else works beautifully (unity integration, MPE integration, etc). Troubleshooter shows that the ssl cert for exchange is installed and gets the green check. CUPC client is the latest 7 version. Looking over the debugs it seems like everything is ok, has anyone run into this before?

On the Exchange server, in the Event Viewer, do you see the account used for CUPS logging into the Exchange server (with the CUPS IP address) and requesting the information? If you do, then the SSL is working. If you do not, then the SSL is broken or not working.

not sure what you mean by seeing it request the information. I can see the cup account make a successful logon in the security logs, but no status is pushed to the clients. I also confirmed i can log into OWA with the cup account and view user's calendars.

Ok, that is good then you see in the security logs on Exchange the CUPS logging in. Is this a new setup or did it just stop working?

New install, everything here is new actually, it's technically a lab environment.

couple things to check....
6.05 is a better version to use. ( i know, upgrade to fix, but when dealing with CUPS, upgrade is better.)
Restart the CUPS server (or services)
For the user you have configured, ensure that cal is enabled. I cant remember on 6.x of cups if it has the presence viewer like in 7.x of cups.
Sometimes, just simple reboots and the thing starts working.
Michael from TAC may see this post also and comment. He's the wizard on CUPS and can probably tell you from the log file whats going on.

Could you do the following?
1) Make sure presence engine trace level is set to debug.
2) On CUPC > File > Preference > Status, see if "show me as in a meeting" was checked. If it was checked, toggle it off and back on. If it was not checked, check it.
3) Restart presence engine. Wait for 2 minutes after it comes back up.
4) Log into CUPC.
5) Collect Presence Engine logs. Make sure it covers the time you restart the engine and the time you log into CUPC.
6) Upload logs here.
Thanks!
Michael
