With all of the plug-ins available for Lotus Sametime/Notes, what is the purpose of the CUPC client? Is it still required on the client machines in order to support all of the CUPS features in Sametime?
Thank you!

CUPC is not required. But it's a very good troubleshooting tool.
Once you get the integration done, you don't need CUPC at all.

Thanks for the clarification. One more thing, in the event that CUPC is not being used, would that change anything licensing wise?
Thanks again!

If you don't use CUPC, you save one DLU.

I have always thought of CUPC and Lotus Sametime as competitors in the "personal communication tool" arena. I am currently in the process of comparing CUPC functionality and Sametime with Cisco Plugins.
Anyone know if an equvalent integration is planned for Sametime as was for MIcrosoft Oiffce Communicator (CUCIMOC) -- something like CUICSametime?
Thanks,
Mark

It's called Sametime plugin, a.k.a. PCAP (Phone Control And Presence) for Sametime. This plugin requires CUPS server though.
