Demo versions

Rumor has it that a plan is in place to program an end date for the demo license for unity connection and call manager for future versions.

Has anyone else herd of this?

I believe that is the case with version 9 with ELM.

Enterprise License Manager, new component for CUCM and UCON to enforce licensing and keep track of licenses in use introduced in version 9.0. Basically DLUs are gone and real CUWL/UCL license enforcer :-)

Also, no more tying license PAKs to MAC address.

this is sad in a way.   I'm a hands on learner and have used CUCM in labs for awhile now.  Not sure what I will end up doing...   Hopefully they will sell a one server license + 10 phone key for under $500.00
