Unity 4.0(4) SR1. When we try to add a internet subscriber to transfer to phones with no VM mailbox, the add user with internet subscriber option is prompting us to select a domino user. Is there a way to get by this or do we need a dummy notes user to do internet subscriber with domino?
Would call handlers be better way to do transfers from unity to phones without VM if we need dummy notes user? Trying not to burn a license for a transfer to device without voice mail. These phones they want to show up in the directory, etc.

In Domino, Internet subscribers are represented as person documents without a mailbox.
Internet subscribers do not have Notes specified as their mail system in their Domino Person documents. The address maps to the Forwarding Address on the Person document for the subscriber. Instead, messages for the subscriber are sent to this e-mail address.
By creating Internet subscriber accounts, you enable Cisco Unity subscribers to send voice messages to recipients whose computers are connected to the Internet. Messages are sent over the Internet or any TCP/IP network via the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). The recipient receives a voice message as an e-mail with a WAV attachment.
After creating this object in Domino (w/o mailbox), you would import this object as an Internet Subscriber.
If you are familiar with W2k/Exch2k, then think of Contacts as being the same thing.

H.M.,
If were just needing to do this to transfer from unity to non-mailbox extensions on CCM would Call Handlers with extension and call transfer be better/cleaner approach then internet subscriber?
We were going to do internet subscriber, with transfer setting then bypass greeting and hangup and not take a message.
They want this extensions to be in the dial by name directory on unity so people can just dial the # and transfer to them like anyone else.

Eric:
As you need the ability to dial by name from the Directory Handler, you will need Internet Subscriber.
