We are enforcing a new VM policy wherein the messages are deleted after 30 days but the users want to retain some of the old messages. We could save the messages as a wav file but the timestamps;which is the requirement for users from legal point of view are not a part of the wav file. Our setting is VMO in unity's own domain. We can't really forward them in email format to the exchange servers in the other domain because of space constraints. Is there a way to export these messages to the users' desktop with the timestamps on these messages

You can drag and drop messages from Outlook to a folder on the local machine or create a personal folder in Outlook (File -> New -> Outlook Data File). You can then drag and drop messages to a folder within the personal folder file which is stored on the local machine.
Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

I tried to drag and drop the messages from the inbox onto the desktop but it would not copy, maybe it is a security issue.I am going to do a little more research on it.If you come up with something more, please post it
Thanks
