Error ASP 0131 (0x80004005) when accessing SAWEB or Status Monitor

Unity 4.04 UM Exchange 2000 sp3 windows 2000 sp4 ( Single Unity Server in Site ) IE6.

Hi

I can no longer accesss my Unity Server on or off box through the web interface. I get an error:

HTTP 500.100 - Internal Server Error - ASP error

So far I have tried completly disabling NetSheild. and adding the commserver directory into the exclude field on netsheild. There are no errors in the application or the system logs.

Any help greatly apreciated

As an interim measure to get the web pages working i enabled parent paths in ISM:

(default website/properties/homeserver/configuration/app options/enable parent path)

My thinking is that an IIS patch could have unchecked this box to beef up security (someone please correct me if i'm wrong).

The more secure option is to use absolute virtual paths. Is this something I can do on the unity server?
