External database troubleshooter fails to PostgreSQL for CUPS

Hello All, I'm setting up a new install with CUCM 10.5 and IM and Presence. We need to have persistent chat so I have downloaded and installed PostgreSQL 9.1.16 and have followed the below guide:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-presence-version-80/117735-cups-postgres-00.html

All seems good until I get to section 24 in the guide. The external database troubleshooter fails. The odd thing is when I look at SQL database, I see the database tables created and all look the same as what the picture in the guide has.

I followed the guide and ran thru it numerous times thinking that I overlooked a step. I have restarted the Cisco XCP Connection Manager and restarted the Cisco XCP Message Archiver and have also restarted SQL services and the entire CUPS server.

Not sure where else to look. There are no firewalls in-between subnets.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

Are you using the default port?

Are you trying to use SSL?

If using hostname, do you have proper DNS resolution??

I have a similar environment on 11.x and postgres 9.4.4 and it's working just fine.

HTH

java

if this helps, please rate

its always the simplest issues that get over looked. I had the wrong password in the in one of the conf files.

Thanks,

Dan
