I have distributed Domino environment and want to integrate the Unity server into branch Domino server but problem to install DUCS admin component.

** Unity 4.0(4), Domino server 6.5.2, DUCS 1.2.2

Successfully installed the DUCS server component in the branch Domino server but I failed the admin component in the branch with message "No enough access privilege". I logged to branch Domino server's "Manager" privileged ID.

Do I need login the branch admin server with master admin priviledged ID or should install DUCS in master admin server.

Thanks,

You should probably ask Lotus for a definitive answer, but here's my advice. First, you need to run csAdmin from a Notes client machine (and the Notes client is not supposed to be running while you install it). Manager privilege is plenty. Second, I'd recommend you use csAdmin to DUC-enable your master admin server. You may need to, depending on how you have your domain set up. And in any event, doing the DUC-enable at the master will prevent changes from being overwritten later.

Do I need to Install the Client side DUC in order for Unified to work? Or is this just like the VMO with outlook that will give you additional features.

It's similar to not having VMO installed, but more annoying. You won't have TRaP, so you can't listen to a message over your phone -- just through the computer speakers. And you don't have the nifty UI. But your voice messages will still arive in the "Voice Mail" folder (I might have the folder name off a bit -- it's been a while for me). They will look like email with a wave attachment. You can click on them and they will play, but first you'll need to click through about three error dialogs. And those show up every time you try to play a message.

I see...but they will get a Message waiting light on their phone right?

Yes. Unity gets message notifications from the Domino server, not from the Notes client. So we'll know there is a message for the subscriber and we will light the MWI.

(I'm assuming here that you did install csAdmin and csServer.)
