Hi Guys,
I'm setting up some shared mailboxes in Unity Connection.
I've considered a few options..
1. IMAP
2. Unity Inbox
3. Forwarding via notification to external shared mailbox in exchange
Currently need to go with option 3.
It requires no change to existing work flows, and no complication of IMAP config in outlook or various clients around the place.
I've got message retention / archiving set globally.
But is there a way to automatically delete the messages from Unity Connection once they are forwarded?
Basically all messages to these shared vm boxes will be forwarded to a shared exchange mailbox and dealt with there.
As soon as this happens they are no longer required in UC.
I'm trying to work around having someone manually deleting them all either - via phone / inbox or imap.
Cheers,
Tim

If I follow the query, the answer is absolutely. You can configure a mailbox toeither "Relay" or "Accept and Relay". You are looking for the "Relay" only option. See the following blog for more details and let me know if you have any questions.
HTH.

Bill
