Fresh Installation of CUCM 10.5 and IM&Presence

Hi Everyone,

I'm planning to install CUCM and IM&Presence both version 10.5(1). For clarification do I need to install first the "Cisco Prime Collaboration Deployment" on VMware, to install the CUCM 10.5(1) and IM&Presence 10.5(1) using it ?

No, PCD is always optional, you can install CUCM and IM&P without it, as it has always been the case.

Hi,

I'm not able to directly install the CUCM 10.5(1) and IM&Presence 10.5(1)  on VMware 10. VMware 10 was unable to detect the Redhut. Do I need to install first the CUCM 10.0(1)SU2 and IM&Presence 10.0(1)SU2 then upgrade it to 10.5(1) release?

The only supported platform is ESXi, if you're running it over anything else, I cannot help as I only work with supported platforms/environments.

Lets see if someone else can chime in on that scenario.
