H323 Trunk

Hi all experts.

Currently we are buying SIP trunk from a local ITSP. I am just asking this out of curiosity, why no one talks about buying H323 trunk from ITSP ? why is it only sip trunk ?

Is there any technical issues that ITSP are using SIP for providing trunks and not H323 ?

Hi,

I guess most carriers use SIP withing their own network and SIP is a newer and easier protocol than H.323.

Besides, SIP is more flexible and SIP in general is more intelligent than H.323. You can review the comparison on the link below:
