AFAIK when inserting a new hard disk it try to upgrade the HDD firmware. But I am not sure when using a third party hard disk the firmware gets updated or not. Theoretically it should work, but any technical issues only the server experts can confirm . I recommend to open a TAC case and take their suggestions. Never tried hard disk other than mentioned in the ordering guide.

Be6k is solution which runs on ucs 220 server. Whats your ucs server type? 220 m1,m2,m3 etc.
You can find this information from CIMC or physically from server.
If it’s m2 it’s a 3.5” and from m3 it’s 2.5” hard disk.
Based on the server type refer the data sheets you will find the hard disk part numbers.
M2, m3 are end of life so you may not get the hard disk from Cisco. You may need to check other sources.
