Can someone please recommend headset for Cisco8961 which has expansion module to be used as receptionist console??

I totally love my old Jabra 9350 wireless headset. I work from home and can walk 4 houses away and still communicate.

Does the Jabra PRO 9470 headset will provide the option of remote call pickup and hang-up or is there additional equipment/adaptors needed to do this?

Jabra PRO 9470 can do remote call control functionality with 8961 series phone. Jabra has developed USB cable specially for Cisco 8961 and 9900 series USB phones

Since Jabra PRO 9470 is DECT base, it has good range of 450 ft. That means you can do call control which includes answer / end call, change volume, mute/unmute with in 450 ft
