HI
I´ve never participated of the project with more than 120 extensions, so i need help to what I have to buy, I always worked with CME.
In this project will be 200 extensions, 150 mailboxes, 90 E1 channels, and a softwareto record the calls.
So i think if I could use the Cisco Unified Communication Manager, so :
What server(hardware) i have to buy?
What and How many licenses?
And a software to record calls, hte CUCM do this?
Tks

Hi
Yes For CUCM you can use MCS or UCS box any of them. I dont think Cisco any more sell HP MCS boxes.
Yes To record call you need to buy another application. No application by Cisco. But we have tested product from NICE or Calabrio.
For CME you can use SPAN based recording or CUE module for the recording.

Depends, are you going to use MCS or going with UC on UCS?
And a software to record calls, hte CUCM do this?
No, CUCM is not a recording appliance.
Most likely you'll get suggestions but you can also find them by searching CSC
You can get in touch with Cisco pre-sales and they'll be more than happy to put a BOM together for you.

Hi,
Open case with cisco.com/go/ph and get the required licensing information.
For Recording :- Cisco CUCM supports silent recording feature which allows to record the RTP media from phones. But you need seperate application to make recording work like NICE etc.
You can use MCS or UCS platform for the installation of CUCM application.
You can use sizing tool to find what exact hadrware is requmred and how much

for the installation there are two options
MCS server - these are IBM or HP server
UCS server - these are Cisco server
the model of the server you can choose based on the number of users in your requirement.
for the licensing, you can use either CUWL or UCL.
though in the latest version of CUCM CUWL licensing will be refered.

Hi,
You should have Cisco router which we call as Voice gateway like 29XX, 39XX for E1 connection. These routers will have E1 cards on which you will terminate the E1 lines from service provider.
Now these gateways can be integrated to CUCM with MGCP, H.323 or SIP.
