Hello.

Context: CUCME, CUC, two phones 101 and 102.
When phone 101 calls phone 102 and phone 102 doesn't answer,
phone 101 gets this vocal message:

Hello: Cisco Unity Connection Messaging System.
From a touchtone telephone you may dial an extension at any time.
For a directory of extensions, press 4.
Otherwise, please hold to leave a general message.

Sorry there is no operator available at this hour.
Record your message at the tone.
When you are finished hang up or press pound for more options.

To send this message press # or hang up
To play it, 3
To re-record it, 4
To add to it, 5
To discard it, 6

I you want to try an extension, you may do so now.

Good bye.

1. I would like to replace this message with a custom message like:

"Hello, <name of my company>. We are sorry we cannot take your call now. Please leave a message." Also, this message would be in French as I'm in France.
2. When I press # or 3, 4, 5 or 6, nothing happens.
3. I speak in the phone microphone and hang up but I can't find the message I left.

I've skimmed the document https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/11x/administration/guide/b_cucsag.pdf
but it's not practical enough for what I would like to do.

I mean, it didn't help me solve my issue.

Also, when I would like to hear a voicemail, the operator asks me to enter my PIN followed by pound.
Which I do.
But it's like I do nothing, like pressing the keys is not interpreted.

Can you help me?
Best regards.

Hello.
I created a "System Call Handler" and recorded a custom message.
Now, if I take a phone and dial 200 which is the voice mail pilot number, I can hear that custom message.
But, if phone 101 calls phone 102 and phone 102 doesn't answer, I can see 200 on phone 101's screen but I hear the default greeting "Hello: Cisco Unity Connection Messaging System..." whereas I would like to hear the custom message.

Hello.

I added a "Forwarded Routing Rule" and now I can hear the custom message when a phone doesn't answer.

Hello.

Now that I've left a message I don't know how to listen to it.

Hello.

I removed the auto attendant routing rule that I had added to "Direct Routing Rules".

Now, when I compose 200 on phone 101, I can hear "Enter your PIN followed by pound".

Which I do, but the voice keeps repeating that message as if the system didn't take my typing into account.

I can never go past that.

Can someone help me a bit?

Why does nothing happen when I enter my PIN and press #?

My phones are 8821 wireless IP phones.

Best regards.
