In which language can I make plug-ins for the Cisco Unified Presence

Hi everyone. I  ' m doing a research about XMPP Servers, and I want to know if I can make plug-ins for the Server, and in which language do I have to do it. Can also recommend some tools for this job. Thanks a lot.

Cisco Unified Presence is an appliance model, and allows for

interface APIs through the Cisco Developer Network:
