Installing Real-Time Monitoring Tool on Mac OS Catalina

I found an article on installing the RTMT on a Mac, essentially using the Linux version.  However I am running into an issue that I'm wondering if anyone has seen before.

When I try to run the .bin file with Java (sh ./CcmServRtmtPlugin.bin java), I get the following error:

Preparing to install
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...
No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH
environment variable. You must install a VM prior to
running this program.

I have no idea with this means.  Java seems to be installed corrected and it works to execute basic Java scripts/programs.

I've tried running it with both my standard user and as "sudo", with the same result.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Found my own solution.  Apparently RTMT doesn't like newer versions of Java.  I was installing the latest JDK version, 13.  I removed that and instead installed JDK version 8 (1.8), and then I got the installer/bin to run.
