Hey gents,
I'm experiencing a 30-60 sec delay while sending instant messages with the CUPC. Is this normal for a Presence Server deployment? I'm running Presence Server 7 with CUCM 7. I though that it should be send instantly as the name implies :)? If I'm sending messages from the IPPM they appear instantly in the message box of the users CUPC. Any hints or reasons why this happens?
Many thanks,
Sebastian

I can do this tomorrow, yes. But I had the delay already without IPPM.
Thanks,

Hey Michael,
Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to get some new log files today. Is it possible to troubleshoot with the current log files? I'm on holiday over easter so I wont be able to get new log files, however, I would like to find a solution before I have to demonstrate my bachelor thesis at the end of April.
Many thanks,
Seb

what version if the CUPS?
In proxy log, lots of "failed to acquire scb"
In PE log, lots of "Pre-Condition not failed, find previous eTag"
You're either running into some known bugs on previous version of CUPS. Or the hostname of CUPS was changed at some point.

Hey Michael,
I'm running version 7.0.3.10102-3. I don't think I changed the hostname. If I did what can I do to make it working properly with the new hostname?
Thanks,
Seb

Michael, would you mind giving me a short description of scb, what it stands for, and how it is used? The same for the second error in the PE log.
Many Thanks,
Seb

Hey Michael,
I solved the problem. I had to add a Reverse Lookup entry on the DNS server for the CUPS. It is working fine now.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Seb
