Hi Community,
I would like to implement sip on my ISR router. How can I check the following.
Been looking for links/datasheet that I can reference for support of the sip solution on cisco routers voice gateway. kindly provide commands, links where possible.
Thank you all!

The ISR 4K supports SIP.
If you plan to use the router with just a SIP dial-peer to connect with the ISP, this is not a recommended design. No licenses are needed for this setup.
However, it is highly recommended to use the CUBE feature (Cisco Unified Border Element) when connecting the router to the ISP. This requires CUBE licenses, either Standard or Enhanced, depending on the setup. Refer to the data sheets for more information on the licenses.

I’m not sure which model of ISR devices you are using, but they have all been announced as EOL. The ISR 4K series, which was the last in the lineup, has also been announced as EOS and will reach EOL by 2028. The C8200 and C8300 will be the latest models.
If you are looking to activate CUBE on ISR 29XX, you won’t be able to procure licenses.
Read the links below for more information.
CUBE 14, the current orderable version, and the supported hardware models are listed in the data sheet mentioned below

Hi @Nithin Eluvathingal ,
Thanks for your feedback.
I have an ISR 4K IOS ver "X". In the links shared, under feature comparison I didn't see a line showing that sip is supported in IOS version "X".
Also, I dont think will be using cube in the implementation, does it mean will be exposed to voice ddos attacks with just the voice gateway running sip directly to service provider?
What licensing is required for sip service?
Regards,
Isaac.
