Hi David,
Thanks for your question. The WebEx Ball located on the Samsung Phone App during a call is a great feature. With your contact's e-mail address already configured, it allows you to escalate your current call to a WebEx meeting and your contact will receive an e-mail invite. From there, they can easily join the meeting, invite others and take advantage of WebEx features above a simple audio conference call. If you'd rather use the audio conference feature built into the Samsung Phone App, you can click the menu icon and click "Add Call".
Thanks,
~Mark Oden

Mark,
It's a great feature, the only problem is it removes some key functionality from the phone. That button prevents you from conferencing two calls on your phone. Any idea on who to re-enable this functionality without having to remove the WebEx app?
Thank you

Hi David,
The functionality you are looking for is still there but was moved to the overflow menu on the Phone App. When you are on the phone, if you click the Menu button (often to the bottom left of the phone, with 2 horizontal lines in half of a box), you'll see the "Add Call" button. Click that and you'll get the same functionality you're expecting. Alternatively, invite the folks into a WebEx conference.
Thanks,
~Mark Oden

Mark,
The functionality is not there, I know how to add a call, however the button to join both calls is not there. Pressing settings brings up the add call button again. So, I can call two different people at the same time, but can't do a 3 way conference. Again, any chance to either remove this button or get a non-Samsung WebEx app?
Thank you,
david

Hi David,
I'm sorry you're still facing issues. After creating the seperate call you will have two options, "Swap" and "Merge". Press "Merge" to create the 3-way conference. For more details, please contact Samsung support as this functionality is native to their platform.
Thanks for your continued use, support and feedback,
~Mark Oden

Mark,
I appreciate your response, however Sprint's SGS2 or at least mine doesn't do what you claim it does and it sounds that the only way to get that functionality back is to remove the WebEx app. I'll reach out to Samsung and Sprint and see if they have an answer, but more than likely they will ask me to reach out to the developer of the app as without the app the functionality is there.

I think the redirection of this issue to nowhereville support forums that also don't answer the question is pretty unacceptable. Please point us to the solution to this problem.
I never had this issue until a recent update.
For the most part, the webex application is great. However, taking over core functionality is a pretty terrible oversight on behalf of your team. It is obvious that this issue needs to be addressed and I would personally like to know when and where we can find the right answer. This is one of the few threads that shed any light on this.
Please find myself and david.macias a link directly to the solution we are looking for.

Hi David and Daniel,
Thank you for continuing to use the WebEx app. I am hopeful that I can address the issue that you are bringing up. I see that it started a few years ago so would you mind reiterating which solution you are looking for? If it is about the WebEx app taking over core functionality can you be specific so that I might be able to address it accurately? We work closely with Samsung to ensure behaviors and functionality are acceptable.
I presume you both are using the latest WebEx for Android release 4.5?
Regards,
Maureen

Looking at other threads, I see it may have to do with the merge call. Just to be clear, the WebEx app does not impinge on any core functionality of the device. The merge call functionality was a change that Samsung did on their devices.
If this did not address your concern, please let me know.
Thanks.
