License Pooling

Hi,

I would like to create unity environment for 9000+ subscribers. The customer is not ready yet for an AD integration so we start with VM only. Failover is also not in scope yet.

If I introduce license pooling is it sufficient to just on digital networking ? Or do the servers (three) need to be in AD ?

Documentation is not so clear about this.

For License Pooling to work all of the servers but he in the same Active Directory forest.

But can I still have onbox Exchange ? Or does license pooling only works with Unified Messaging ?
