Unity 4.0(5) on Windows 2003 non-SP1
Exchange 2003 SP3
CallManager 4.0(2a)sr2b
I have a problem with message notification. If I set the number to be an external number like my cell phone or home phone, it will call that phone, but when it prompts me to enter my ID, it does not recognize the buttons I press on the phone. I do not have this problem if I set the number to be an internal number. It appears the problem is when the message notification goes through the PSTN that it cannot recognize the keys. While I'm pressing the buttons to log in, the message notification lady keeps talking. Does anyone have a fix for this?

The best place to start for these types of things is the one-way audio tech tip - it has links to several related docs that may help you run down the issue you're having here:

Thanks for the link, but we do not have a firewall between Unity and VG200 H323 gateway. Should I open a case with TAC?

yes - it's hard to troubleshoot stuff like this out here without looking at traces and sniffer output and such - TAC is definitely the place to go with this.
if you get a solution, be sure to stop back out and post a follow up that might help someone coming along later with a similiar problem.

Make sure the outbound call from Unity is matching a VoIP dialpeer that has dtmf-relay enabled. Here's an old tech-tip that may help...

Fixed: I needed to add 'dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric' to one of my voip dial-peers. Thanks everyone.
