Requerimos hacer la migración de versión de CUCM tenemos servidores físicos en 8.5 y vamos a virtualizar ahora para subir a una versión 10.X, se requiere hacer escalas 8.6, 9.x hasta llegar a la 10.x o se puede hacer de forma directa, existe alguna recomendación de mejores prácticas?

The best solution for this issue is to use the Prime Collaboration Deployment tool. PCD will allow you to migrate and virtualize in one step. Please visit CUCM_10.0_migrate-procedure-using PCD.pdf for details on the PCD migration process.

Creo que vas a tener que hacer escalas si no usar el Prime Collaboration Deployment tool (PCD), el PCD creo que es gratuito y lo puedes bajar desde la web de Cisco, pero para ello necesitarás virtualizar el PCD en un servidor UCS adicional.
