Hi,

I will migrate cucm 8.6.2 to 10.5.2 soon.

I would like to know if i can load the 10.5.2 version  tree days  before starting the migration process and activating the new version without causing problem to the system.

I will have a small window time to migrate the system.

Tanks for your help.

That's not an option for that path as it's a refresh upgrade

Step 4  Upgrade the Unified Communications Manager publisher node. The Unified Communications Manager publisher node is the first node in the cluster.
Step 5  Switch the software to the new software release. To do this, select Switch to new version after upgrade. The publisher node must be running the new software before you upgrade each subscriber node.

Hi Jaime,

When i create a task in PCD and choosing  all the cluster.

PCD create a task with four step.

step 1 upgrade publisher

step 2 upgrade suscriber

step 3 switch version publisher

step 4  switch versin subscriber

in the documentation

Step 4  Upgrade the Unified Communications Manager publisher node. The Unified Communications Manager publisher node is the first node in the cluster.
Step 5

Switch the software to the new software release. To do this, select Switch to new version after upgrade. The publisher node must be running the new software before you upgrade each subscriber node.

Is it a mistake in PCD. If i understand well step 4 and 5.

I must upgrade Publisher and activate (switching to the new version) before upgrading the subscriber)

P.S. see the attachement PCD task.

The instructions to which you're referring apply to the manual upgrade, PCD has another flow of events.

Do you think that i can use this PCD task without problem ?

Or is it better to do manual upgrade ?

Either one will work, my personal preference is to do all the upgrades manually, and just use PCD for migrations.

TYPO: last word should have been migrations.
