Migration from Unity to Unity connection with Active/Active deployment

Hello All

We have a customer who needs to upgrade Unity to Unity Connection v8.5. The customer has 150 users and he needs to migrate this users then add new 500 users, also he needs to use the Active/Active scenario. When we purchase the Add-on license there is an option to get ports, we need to know the difference between purchasing normal ports and HA ports?. And in this scenario if the HA ports are mandatory?

Ports are zero dollars so even if you have to order them it doesn't matter
