MWI Ext/sub extension is Translation Pattern in CCM

Hi,

Having issue where MWI Extension and regular extension in Unity is a number that is a translation pattern on

call Manager.

Example:

Unity Extension: 1115555

Call Manager DN: 5555 (partition for Loc111)

Translation Pattern: 111.XXXX w/predot strip

Unity MWI Extension: X, 1115555

The above seems to be working sometimes, but majority of time fails. Is there something else we can include on translation pattern mask for MWI?

A MWI extension of 5555 works but there may be multiple extensions 5555 in different partitions for different locations.

I am having them check MultiTenatModeforMWI is on tomorrow, but if it is what could be causing failures?

Also, they have unity extensions that are 4 digits... will having MultitenantMWI on break DNs that don't have translation pattern?

Thanks

Could be a lot of things. You definitely need MultitentantMWI mode for the situation you describe and to be honest, I've never had a problem with that parameter failing. Its a cluster-wide setting, so you should be able to just set it to true and leave it. MultitenantMWI will apply any/all translation patterns to MWI calls, so any 4-digit subscribers would also be subject to them, if they match a translation pattern. In most cases I've seen, you would want to standardize to a 7 or 10-digit extension length in unity. You can especially get into trouble if the extensions overlap, say you have a subscriber range 1XXX and 1112XXX or something like that. You may also have some general MWI problems. Take a look at one of the troubleshooting guides:
