Just upgraded from 4.1 to 8.5, are there any new tools for setting up a new site? (e.g. Region, Device Pool, Location, Partition, CSS, etc?) Or do i still need to do these step at a time? i have 20 new sites to set up and some shortcut would be nice.

Things are pretty much the same, you still need to configure all the basic stuff (region, DP, CSS, etc) before even getting to the phone config.
The only wizards we have are IPMA or for VM integrations.

You may like the import/export tool. For example, if you get a site configured exactly how you want, export all the relative pieces to the site. CSS/PT, Route Patterns, Gateways, etc. Then use Excel to configure the new items, import it back into CUCM. Saves quite a bit of time. There a few glitches here and there. You cant import/export every single item. Also go back and check it did configure the section in CUCM correctly for you.

did the export, now how do I find the output file?

Uploads/downloads. It should be a .tar file.
Open it with 7-zip to a folder structure and you can open the CSV files in excel. Tar the folder back up and import it back to CUCM and run the import/export. (to make changes/adds/etc)

If I strip out everything from all the files created and just import the new will it append to the existing info or overwrite?
