Hi all -
I have a demo Unity 4.0(4) SR1 server running Windows 2003 (No SP), partnered with Exchange 2003 SP1. Unity is running fine. Logged on as unityadmin - all permissions validated. Unable to change Windows 2003 Desktop to Classic View. Also unable to change Internet Options - Security tab from High to Medium or any other setting. Explorer hangs, goes non-responsive and must be cancelled. If I stop Unity from the Systray, then I can change the Desktop as well as change the Internet security options. In testing, I was able to determine that once I stopped the AvCsGateway service, I could make the change. Of course, this stops multiple services so I was unable to isolate further. The unityadmin account does not display this same behavior on another non-Unity Win2K3 server - works just fine. Obviously we have a work-around, so this is not a big problem. Just wondering if anyone has seen this before?
Thanks so much! Ginger

Hi Ginger, same problem here on a Windows 2003 Standard Edition (no SP) server, Unity 4.0(5), partnered with Exchange 2003 (SP1) also. Suspect it has more to do with Win2k3 and Unity than Exchange of course, but exactly the same behavior.

Hi Frederick -
Thanks for your note. This server is going into production tomorrow, being DiRT restored from Unity 4.0(4) on Windows 2000 server. We have several other Unity servers running Win2K3 and I just had not attempted to change IE or Desktop until this server. I have a couple of big changes coming up in the next two weeks, so this is low priority for me. But sounds like something for TAC :-) How is 4.0(5) working for you? I'm looking forward to many of the new features!! That is one of my next projects - to get the servers to 4.0(5) in prep for Windows 2003 SP1.
Sincerely, Ginger
