I'm currently using OCS 2007 Std with an Edge and Mediation. It's integrated with Cisco Cucm 6.1.1 and CUPS 6.0.2 with RCC
On Cucm I've configured a Sip Trunk to Mediation server
This integration is working fine. My question is how will communicator (configured for RCC) work when I'm remote.
I'll use myself as an example: I have a desktop at work running communicator, and a 7945 phone on my desk (with RCC); I also use a laptop at home or out of office running communicator. If I'm at home, I want to be able to call a pstn user by communicator using it as a device (not RCC when I'm out of office).
But it seams not working.
What's difference between RCC and Enterprise Voice + PBX integration ?

Hi,
Communicator won't be able to control your phone when you aren't on the corporate LAN (which makes sense - it wouldn't do you any good to use your work phone from your home).
And unfortunately you can only choose RCC or Enterprise Voice with the OCS-CUPS integration. Cisco/Micorsoft don't support the EV+PBC integration option right now.
So you can't flip between RCC when at work and EV when at home. Crummy limitation.
Hope that helps.
Regards,
Matt
