One Unity connection for two different locations

Hi,

I´ve got a little question regarding the unity connection.

We have one Unity connection (ver.11.5.) and our users at another location wanted to use the Voice-Mailbox-functionality.

Problem is the following: Our Mainoffice is located in Germany and our colleagues are working in Switzerland.

The colleagues in Switzerland are using Office 365 and have a separate ldap system. They are connected to our CUCM over a Cube solution. Can someone tell me, how we can reach that our colleagues can use our unity connection?

That’s going to be tough if you want to get the mailboxes LDAP-synced. Both CUCM and CUC are limited to a single AD forest (and do not support Azure AD). The only supported approach for a multi-forest integration is AD LDS, which most Microsoft sysadmins are not fond of.

Having said that, Single Inbox does not require the user’s mailbox to be LDAP synced. You could create a separate Unified Messaging configuration, with a service account in that O365 tenent, and assign that to your Swiss colleagues.
