Hi All,
I wonder if someone can help.
I have a customer that has approx 100 users using Pager Notification. However they are just changing their pager company and this involves everyone getting a new number.
They have asked if there is a way of bulk changing the user details. I had a look at the Bulk Edit tool and it was looking the perfect solution until I read the bit on Notification -
"It is not possible to change dialout numbers"
The other options that I have thought of are -
1, Manually change it for each of the users. (Time Consuming)
2, Get the users to change it themselves through the menus. (Customer would rather know it has been changed)
Anyone else have any other thoughts?
Thanks
Glen

Can't think of anything off-hand since I can only assume that everyone will be getting the different pager numbers. I am not sure if number portability applies to pagers at this time but it is worth a phone call and if so all the users could keep their same pager numbers. Their may be some funky weird way to do something like import a .csv file but by the time you line up everything you would probably be better of just doing it manually for about 100 users. Since this is a customer I would suggest you roll up your sleeves and do it yourself. :) They seem to want that anyway as stated in Option 2
Maybe the Unity team has a way to do this that I am not aware of. Guys? Guyetts?

You've got the list of choices right - BulkEdit is for changing groups of users/handlers based on patterns (i.e. turn off transfers for all subscribers, change the message stack order for everyone, add XXX to the left of everyone's extension etc...) - for the type of custom per user changes for pager dialouts, you'd need a CSV type update tool - CUBI would be the tool for this but today it doesn't support updating dialout pager numbers.
so either users can do it themselves via PCA or you can do it yourself.
