I am currently installing a new 4.0 UNity box. I have another 2.4 box running. I used Exmerge to pull the mailboxes off the old server running exchange 5.5 and I need to migrate them to Exchange 2000. I have all the .pst files but when I try to run exmerge on the new server it does not work. Anyone use this method to upgrade from Exchange 5.5 to 2000. Thank you...

Please attach the exmerge error log.

It just says that it cant find some .dll when I try to run exmerge on the new exchange 2000 server. I am worried about getting the correct data from the subscribers mailboxes to brand new exch 2000/unity 4.0 server. If I just run the Unity DB import uitlity does that bring over all the subscriber info and message store?

Well, Exchange installs ExMerge these days so if it's not flying, something went haywire with your install.
For reasons that are a bit of a mystery to me, MS posts only the latest version of ExMerge which will run against 2000 or 2003 but requires 2003 admin tools to be install to use - but here's a link for the Exchange 2000 ExMerge download if you want to grab it and try it just to be sure:

Which DLL is missing?
Running the dbImport will bring unity subscriber data over, it does not bring messages (hence the use of ExMerge from MS for this function).
