PRI B-Channels (2-13) coming up out of service

Hi,

 

The telco was doing a DMS change and one of our PRIs on the router only partially comes up.  12 of the B-Channels (2-13) show up as 2-Outofservice below are a few things I have done, looking for ideas.  The telco indicates they can't see anything on their end.

  •          12 of the d-channels (2-13) came up as 2-outofservice on the router
  •          Telco shutdown their end and brought it back up, I could see all b-channels go 2-outofservice, when it was brought back up, the same 12 b-channels were still 2-Outofservice (2-13) while all the other b-channels in the PRi came up as 0-idle
  •          I shutdown the router interface and brought it up, I could see them all go 2-outofservice but the same 12 (2-13) stayed 2-outofservice, same issue
  •          I then manually changed the state of the b-channels that were showing 2-outofservice to 0-idle, and they showed 0-idle and they did a test call to one of them with no problem
  •          Now when I shutdown the interface, all of the b-channels except for the 12 (2-13) go 2-outofservice, but the 12 (2-13) stay 0-idle.
  • Also, after a reload of the router, the PRI shows the same 12 b-channels as 2-outofservice and all the other channels as 0-idle
  • it is always the same b-channels

There have not been any programming changes on the router to account for the 12 b-channels comming up as out of service.

The telco says their end looks fine and they can't see any programming that would cause the 12 b-channels to be down.

Any ideas on this would be appreciated.

FYI - The problem was that someone had made a router change for the 12 affected channels to be out of service and not documented it.  Now I just have to find out it it was done for a particular purpose before changing them back.

 

Keeping an accurate change log would have helped.
