When I run ADSchemaSetup.exe, I get an error message: «Setup failed to initialize Active Directory».
The server is connected to the LAN, Active Directory services are running, I'm running ADSchemaSetup on the only Cisco Unity server and I'm logged on as Administrator, which is (the only) member of Schema Admins group.
What might be the problem that is preventing Active Directory Schema setup to run?
Thanks

Is this a standalone Unity server with AD/Exchange installed on it?
Check your ip address setting - you should be pointed to yourself for DNS.
There are many possibilities, but the most like issue is that the server cannot find the ldap server.

I'm configuring a standalone Unity server with AD and Exchange 2000.
The DNS is pointing to the Unity server itself (127.0.0.1).
I reinstalled everything from scratch, but I got the same error.
I'm not using a separate LDAP server, so I see no reason for the connection to the LDAP service to fail.
I found no documentation on the CCO regarding this situation.
Thanks
