This link shows that we can download Service pack update from cco to patch unity.
I recall it used to be that we can update directly from microsoft especially the OS part.
My questions are:
1.Could we still update the patch from microsoft?
2.If we download patch from CCO, my concern is it may not contain the lastest hotfix released from Microsoft. So how often Cisco update the online patch after microsoft released the hotfix/security patch, etc?
Thanks

Configure Windows Automatic Update only to check for updates, not to install updates. Most Microsoft updates can be installed on the Cisco Unity or Bridge server as soon as they become available. However, Microsoft service packs must be qualified for use with Cisco Unity and the Bridge, and WAU does not let you distinguish between service packs and other updates.
1) You can update the security patches from MS. Just make sure you do not install ANY Service Packs unless approved - examples of past issues were Exchange 2003 Sp1, and Windows 2003 Sp1.
2) Download your security patches from MS.

So my question is: that CCO download link also contains the updates for the related patch. What's the difference between it and microsoft update? How often does Cisco update this?
Thanks
