I have a customer inquiring to use his Dell servers for CUCM and Unity Connection. After research on the ucs docwiki and 3rd party spec based, these fall under the restricted performance category, I believe primarily because they aren't 2.5GHz processors. I have informed customer about TAC support with this category if issues become server performance, but my question is; at what point/time will this restricted performance 3rd party hardware go unsupported? I need to give him some future (yr or two?) that these servers would be obsolete for UC so I can steer him towards UCS C series now. His user based is in the 250-300 for CUCM and Unity Connection.
