Cisco Unity 4.0 Build 4.0(4) SR 1
I have a user that often check "return Reciept on e-mail messages. Each time the receipt comes back it leaves a system Voice mail stating that. Can this feature be turned off in Unity? I personally heard 36 of them in one day on his phone.

When connected to Exchange you can exclude return or all receipts from inboxes using the Advanced Settings Tool - however for Domino this option is not available unfortunately.

Is there any plan to make this feature available for Domino? We have a customer unhappy with this.

I don't know if they are going to make this feature available for Unity integrated with Domino. It was driving us nuts, but if you're running Unity 4.0(5), ES51 makes Unity handle NDR's and Read Receipts in a much more elegant fashion.
We've been running this for several months successfully.

Although there's no Unity workaround, end users can create rules in the Notes client to have NDRs and Return Receipts moved to another folder so that the Unity TUI will not announce them. Here are the steps:
In the Notes client, create a folder called "NDRs" and another folder called "Return Receipts".
To move NDRs to the NDR folder:
1. In the Notes client, go to "Tools > Rules", click "New Rule" to bring up the New Rule dialog box.
2. In the Create Condition section, specify "form contains NonDelivery".
3. Click "Add".
4. In the Specify Actions section, select "move to folder".
5. Click the "Select" button to choose the NDR folder, click "OK", and then click "Add Action".
6. Click "OK" to close the New Rule dialog box.
To move return receipts to the Return Receipts folder:
1. In the Notes client, go to "Tools > Rules", click "New Rule" to bring up the New Rule dialog box.
2. In the Create Condition section, specify "form contains Return Receipt".
3. Click "Add".
4. In the Specify Actions section, select "move to folder".
5. Click the "Select" button to choose the Return Receipt folder, click "OK", and then click "Add Action".
6. Click "OK" to close the New Rule dialog box.
You get the form name of a message by looking at the document properties. Right-click the message (NDR, Return Receipt, etc), click Document Properties, click the 2nd tab (triangle icon), and scroll down until you see the form property.

Hi,
I have just been reading your latest post regarding 'read receipts' and the fact that Unity recognises these as voice mail messages. We are running Unity 5.0.1 for Exchange and we are experiencing the same issue. We have followed the suggested registry changes and recommendations using advanced tools etc, but still we have not been able to prevent this. The customer should not have to change settings in the outlook client so we need a fix, which does not invlove the client application.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Steve
