Rules for when the voicemail is no longer able to be played over the phone

We are running Unified Messaging (Unity 5.0) linked to a partner Exchange server.

The question is what are all of the rules when the user's will be able to only listen to their message via their Outlook email and the message will no longer be available on the phone?

I cannot find a document that outlines this information.

Here is what I have figured out so far when the message will no longer be available via the phone:

-When the voicemail is not delivered to the inbox of outlook, the user has setup filters or moved it to another folder

-When some PST rules have archived the message in outlook

-When outlook(exchange) is setup to automatically forward email to another address

-If the user is using a POP email client and having the email downloaded to their machine.

Can you please let me know any other circumstances that would apply so that the user could not listen to the message on the phone.

What about if the voicemail was forwarded a few times?

Someone know where the documentation is on this subject?

Thank you

-Monica

Monica,

do you mean "not availablea" as in the mwi light does not light? and when you log in you are not notified of new messages?

If that is the case you are correct.

In most of those situations you listed you can still listen to those moved voice mails via your phone. Just depends on how you are doing it.

right, I have one user who received a email in outlook and cannot play it via the phone. The message was forwarded to her by her manager who originally received it and forwarded it to her. so why can't she play it via the phone?
