There are several CUCM cluster in a company and all of the clusters have Cubes too. Currently these clusters are not connected at all so calls between clusters go to PSTN. The Cubes are able to reach each other in IP.
I am wondering if it is possible to connect these clusters with an SME which has trunks to all the clusters and use the Cubes as MTP resource for the calls between the clusters. I suppose it can be done but in this case it will use simple RTP.
But what if SRTP is required between the Cubes? Is it possible to achieve this without setting the clusters to mixed mode? Maybe with registering the Cubes to the SME too as secure MTP and set mixed mode only the SME? Do you have any experience with this?
